FAQs
WHAT IS A GOLDENDOODLE ?
The Goldendoodle, also known as the groodle is a designer dog created by crossbreeding a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They are bred in different sizes and come in different coat types from wavy to curly and many different colors. Here at Roseville Goldendoodles our goal is to create Doodles who offer a variety of everyone’s preferences. Golden Doodles love people and also get along great with other pets and are very patient and gentle with children. Goldendoodles are intelligent, friendly, energetic, and trainable.
ARE GOLDENDOODLES HYPOALLERGENIC ?
There is no such thing as a dog that won’t cause allergic reactions for people with pet allergies. People who have allergies have allergic reactions to the protein in urine, saliva, or dander. The more the dog sheds its fur or hair it creates more dander in the home and accumulate on furniture, floors, and fixtures in the home.
Most Goldendoodles develop a non-shedding coat, or they shed very lightly. They inherit this trait from their poodle parentage. Some Goldendoodles are more likely to develop a non-shedding coat than others.
Hypoallergenic dogs produce less dander. Dogs that do not shed also reduce the amount of allergens that enter to the home due to dog saliva or urine. Goldendoodles are a good choice for people with mild pet allergies.

GOLDENDOODLES AND GROOMING
Let’s face it, Goldendoodles are maintenance and require brushing a couple times a week and a full grooming service every 4-6 weeks. When left unattended a Goldendoodles undercoat can get matted and result in a major shave for your Doodle. In addition to brushing Golden Doodles depending on your lifestyle will need to be bathed once every couple weeks if not more. Because of how popular the Goldendoodle Breed has gotten there are many amazing grooming tools to help maintain your Doodle even at home. These tools consist of slicker brushes, dematting rakes, tear free soaps, and detangle sprays made just for their coats.
WHAT IS PUPPY CULTURE AND ENS?
Puppy Culture is a comprehensive, organized, program for breeding and raising puppies to help aim to optimize their physical and mental development. Puppy culture aims to provide puppies with a foundation of experiences and skills that help them grow into confident, well-adjusted adult dogs. Puppy culture programs may include activities such as exposing puppies to different surfaces , sound’s , and sights. This provides them with opportunities to play and explore also while teaching them basic commands such as “sit” and “stay.” It is considered a holistic approach to breeding and raising puppies that aim to optimize their overall health and well-being.
Starting at 3 days old we introduce tiny struggles and stresses in appropriately small doses to help the puppies grow into strong, healthy well-adjusted adults. These exercises help with greater tolerance to stress, resistance to disease, a faster adrenal system ,and a stronger heart beat. we refer to these exercises as ENS “ early neurologic stimulation.” Here at Roseville Goldendoodles we also strive to make sure our dogs are socialized. Your puppy will be handled and be exposed to different sounds, textures, and people ranging from toddler’s and teenagers and other dogs as Koda is our main stud who lives here in our home. These puppies will also have introduction to crate training and potty training to help ensure that your new puppy will be easily transitioned to his or her new home.
